While we’re at it, here are a few tried-and-true tips for getting the most of our your 48-72 hours at ICSC. This national event draws hundreds of software and other vendors, CRE brokers and shopping center developers, retailers, and other chain businesses. It’s an excellent opportunity for you to learn, stay up on the market, find great solutions to power your business, network, and work.
Here’s our advice to use your time wisely:
1. Prioritize and schedule.
Review ICSC’s schedule of sessions and professional development workshops ahead of time (even on the plane ride to Vegas!) and rough out a game plan on what you must attend, would like to attend, and might attend if you have time. Schedule your time at ICSC! Reserve time with the businesses you want to meet with in the Exhibit Hall, and connect with customers, colleagues, potential customers, and vendors before your arrival to ensure you will be able to meet (if you wish to).
2. Research the vendors you’re interested in beforehand.
ICSC is arguably the best time of the year to browse all kinds of vendors at once under one roof, but without a plan or advance research, you might get overwhelmed. Do some homework ahead of time. What are your needs this year and beyond? What tools, services, and products
are you in need or? Look through the ICSC exhibitors section of the event page to see what companies are worth checking out. Look at their websites and make a list of high-priority ICSC meetings. 3. Think about your goals, priorities, and greatest challenges.
